Manufactured from durable black plastic, the guards are designed to sit securely over mole traps, helping to reduce accidental interference from pets, livestock, children and other people.

Their discreet black design blends in naturally around molehills and surrounding ground, making them less conspicuous than brightly coloured trap markers, particularly in areas with high public footfall.

The raised design provides sufficient clearance for compatible mole traps to spring and operate without interference from the guard. They are suitable for use with tunnel traps, claw-style traps and Putange traps. They may also be used with scissor traps where the mole runs are sufficiently deep.

Each Trap Guard features a visible “Do Not Touch” warning on top and comes with removable ground spikes that screw into the body of the guard before being pushed into the ground. Alternatively, the fixing holes can accommodate suitable trap markers without the need to use the spikes.

The guards also provide an additional layer of insulation over the trap position, helping to reduce frost penetration and the likelihood of the surrounding soil freezing in colder conditions.
